The Story : This shoe is sustainable because hemp requires little to no pesticides, replenishes soil with nutrients and nitrogen, controls erosion of topsoil, and converts C02 to oxygen very well considering the rate of growth. The Donna Hemp is biodegradable because hemp is a plant and as such it's organic. Overtime, the shoe will disintegrate and break down returning to its roots ( no pun intended ).
