Tromoso is the largest city in the northern part of Norway located north of the Arctic circle. This area has strong traditions within winter sports and is a venue candidate for the XXII Olympic Winter Games in 2014. Tromoso is located on the island Kvaloya and is surrounded by high exceptional mountains. The inspiration for the design comes from the arctic climate and is portrayed with snow crystals crossing the chest. The boarder of snow crystals symbolizes the bridge connecting Tromoso to the mainland of Norway.
