Storetind Windstopper is Dale's flagship performance sweater featuring windproof liner and Teflon treated yarn. Heavy-duty and warm wool sweater jacket with all the bells and whistles.
- High zip-neck sweater that is lined with a GORE Windstopper membrane blocking 100% of the wind, yet fully breathable so that you can perform at your best during all outdoor activities
- Made of 100% pure Norwegian wool and lined with Teflon fabric protector that will make water and snow bead right off the sweater during those epic falls
- 100% windproof fleece neck liner that is comfortable to the skin and prevents itching from the wool
- 4-ply Heilo Norwegian wool that traps in warmth in hollow fibers provides enough insulation and weight so that you can use this sweater as an outwerwear
- Zippered side vents for when you output more heat and durable elbow patches for additional protection
- Built-in sleeve glove with thumbholes for protection during colder days. Sleeve gloves make it also easier to get in and out of gloves when used on the slope
- Weather proof zippered pocket on left sleeve that can hold keys, credit card or lift ticket
- Quarter zip front with with adjustable drawstring that will allow to regulate the volume of the collar as needed
- Permanently attached powder skirt with snaps for powder days that prevents fresh powder from entering the garment
- Drawstring at the bottom with a stopper so you can adjust the fit of the sweater to you liking

Wash/Care Instructions for Dale of Norway Sweaters
Hand wash (30°C/86°F) or machine wash (30°C/86°F) at wool cycle. Turn inside out. Use a mild washing detergent. Squeeze gently, do not wring. Rinse well. Dry on a flat surface, pull gently into shape if necessary. Do not dry in sunshine or in a tumble dryer. Can be pressed, using wool setting. This garment can be dry cleaned, but dry cleaning may change the brightness of the colors and the softness of the wool. Store knitted garments folded, not hanging.
All Dale of Norway products have washing labels inside the garments. Some products are machine wash and some are handwash. Here are some general instructions on how to wash and care for your Dale product:
- Hand wash at 30°C/86°F using a detergent with a neutral pH -or- Machine wash at 30°C/86°F using a wool cycle and a detergent with a neutral pH
- Do not bleach or wash with chlorine based products
- Iron at low heat settings and, if necessary, turn inside out
- May be dry cleaned, but this may change the brightness of the colors and softness of the wool
- Do not tumble dry
- Dry flat, and never in direct sunlight
- WATER REPELLENT garments should be ironed after washing. Do not use softener when washing

Storetind is worth every penny
Hands down the best outdoor clothing I own. I was first hesitant to spend this much money for a sweater, but after my friend's suggestion I gave it a try. This sweater is pretty much bulletproof: lined with gore windstopper liner, the yarn is treated with Teflon fabric protector and even a powder skirt, the sweater is super rugged and can take lot of abuse. I'm doing tons of backcountry skiing and snowshoeing in a pretty harsh terrain and I'm using the sweater pretty much as a jacket with just a base layer underneath. If it's coming down hard, I pack a paclite shell with me--this is a perfect lightweight set-up. The snow doesn't stick to a sweater and if it starts melting it just beads off. Spills are no issue thanks to the protector and the yarn is surprisingly durable. I guess these Norwegians figured it out. Pretty awesome sweater/jacket!

I bought this sweater when it was not in stock. It arrived soon after I bought. I was so happy with Norway Sports I bought a second Storetind because the first is so nice.
No Jacket Necessary
Ventured towards the Storetind as a skiing sweater. Turns out, I didn't even have to buy a jacket for skiing, this sweater worked out well as a ski jacket too. It's windproof and pretty close to being waterproof. It fit me a bit on the snug side because the liner does not allow for give, which is what I was aiming for with a sweater.
Great performance sweater
This sweater does it all. The wool is treated with teflon for an extra protection and water resistance and there is second layer inside which works as a windbreaker. Powder skirt and a pocket. The wool feels super sturdy and it looks like the sweater can make it through anything.
Super Nice Sweater
Pretty nice piece of technical outerwear Dale came up with. The entire sweater is treated with Teflon which makes it water repellent. Try to pour water on it and it will literally just bead off, something unheard of for a wool sweater. More so, the sweater is lined with a Gore windstopper membrane which makes it 100% windproof. There are zippers on the side for venting and there is pocket for credit card, ski pass or whatever. Pretty high neck, so you don't need scarf or bandana. I am using this sweater for skiing on a nice days and thin underwear under the garment is all I need. The sweater is nice and warm, probably thanks to the winstopper membrane. Not the cheapest sweater out there, but you really don't need a jacket to go with it (just a thin shell in your packpack for when it gets nasty.)
Nice
Nice sweater with tons of features and good little details. It has a powder skirt and side vents so it can be used as a ski jacket. Snow and water beads right off. I like the high neck too, which is super nice when going downhill. Jacket has some weight, but remember you will not need anything underneath, just a base layer. Pretty sweet set-up.
True performer
All these people who wrote great reviews were not kidding. This is one sick sweater with so many features that it really shouldn't be called a sweater. It's really more a wool jacket than sweater and is heavy enough to function as such. Super warm and the liner makes it virtually windproof. Not a waterproof piece, but just pack a thin shell to your backpack when skiing and you're all set. It also looks pretty cool, I couldn't help notice that I've got some looks from the ladies...
Wow
Wow, what a sweater. This gotta be the most advanced sweater I've ever seen. This baby weights couple pounds. I love the feel of it, it seems almost indestructible. It's super warm, probably thanks to that liner which works like a windbreaker. Tons of pockets and venting zips and there is even a powder skirt. I have tried to wear this sweater inside, like a regular sweater but it's just too warm. This sweater was really designed for outdoor activities, particularly skiing or snowboarding.
Good quality and tons of features
This sweater is great and you can feel the quality. Super heavy-duty wool, elbow patches, powder skirt, large zipper pulls, this sweater was made for serious outdoor use. It runs little bit on the large side, most likely because it was designed more like a jacket than a sweater. Also, because of the liner, it will not stretch as much as a regular sweater would.
Storetind is great
Amazing sweater. I had no idea a sweater can be this advanced, lots of features and technologies in this package, something usually seen in jackets or shells. It's a great marriage between style, comfort and functionality.
