Dale of Norway sweater in 100% pure new wool. Based on over 100 years of Norwegian knitting heritage. The design and the bands are inspired by the patterns of the old Fana cardigans. This also inspires the way of using bands and the opening. The name Lysekloster is picked from the old Lyse Monastery, a catholic monastery outside Bergen and just by Fana, which was built in 1146. History tells that the munches here were the first to grow apples in Norway. The apple flower is an important detail in the design, and it covers the chest of the cardigan. The pattern on the bottom of the waist is inspired by old classical wood carving on churches and buildings, and could probably also be found at Lyse Monastery when the building were still standing. Dale Classic collection offers traditional Norwegian cardigans and sweaters with authentic look and feeling. Beautiful woolen bands, pewter buttons or clasps are often used on Dale Classic garments for sporty and more formal occasions.
