Istind is one of the magnificent mountain tops in the Lyngen Alps in Northern Norway. These Alps are considered to be one of the most majestic ski areas in the world, towering at nearly 5,000 ft. above the Ulls Fjord. Istind has become world famous as an extreme skiing destination and the favorite playground of the world's best skiers. Northern Norway is characterized by exceptional contrasts. In the Lyngen area the steep icy mountains dive into the crisp, clear blue water, and in the Istind design the icy coldness is illustrated with a snowflake and on the arms. Skiers describe the Lyngen Alps as an area where man and nature live in perfect harmony. This harmonic atmosphere is carried forward in all four sporty colors. Gore Windstopper, Teflon and the many functional details prove that this sweater was made for the extremes of nature yet design for the woman with a sense of style.

Wash/Care Instructions for Dale of Norway Sweaters
Hand wash (30°C/86°F) or machine wash (30°C/86°F) at wool cycle. Turn inside out. Use a mild washing detergent. Squeeze gently, do not wring. Rinse well. Dry on a flat surface, pull gently into shape if necessary. Do not dry in sunshine or in a tumble dryer. Can be pressed, using wool setting. This garment can be dry cleaned, but dry cleaning may change the brightness of the colors and the softness of the wool. Store knitted garments folded, not hanging.
All Dale of Norway products have washing labels inside the garments. Some products are machine wash and some are handwash. Here are some general instructions on how to wash and care for your Dale product:
- Hand wash at 30°C/86°F using a detergent with a neutral pH -or- Machine wash at 30°C/86°F using a wool cycle and a detergent with a neutral pH
- Do not bleach or wash with chlorine based products
- Iron at low heat settings and, if necessary, turn inside out
- May be dry cleaned, but this may change the brightness of the colors and softness of the wool
- Do not tumble dry
- Dry flat, and never in direct sunlight
- WATER REPELLENT garments should be ironed after washing. Do not use softener when washing

What a beautiful sweater!
OMG, this sweater is beautiful. Super warm and heavy, perfect for the powder days. I like that it's not overly ski-lodge looking as it has only a little snowflake pattern on the chest and little bit on the sleeves. I use it pretty much instead of sweater and jacket, undershirt and this sweater and I'm good to go. Powder skirt keeps the snow from getting in and high collar keeps me warm too.
