Edvard Grieg is the most acclaimed Norwegian classical composer. The Edvard Grieg history is built around the traditional Norwegian elements, completed with details from the Grieg`s life, surroundings, and his Norwegian heritage. The stars in the main pattern are inspired by the famous Fana design, where Grieg lived with his wife, Nina. The pattern under the chest and under the sleeves symbolizes the ornamentation from Griegs house, Troldhaugen, located near Bergen. Grieg himself was known for classic, yet simple dress, which is reflected in both the pattern and in the detailing. The fleece lining around the neck and cuffs reflect his refined elegance. The special patch is an embroidery of Grieg`s profile and his signature. The same profile is also found on the unique buttons.
