The Dronning Maud by Dale of Norway is made for active sports and leisure wear. The sweater is lined with Dale Polarwind highly breathable lining that is windproof and is also treated with Teflon making the sweater water and snow repellent. It's a high-necked sweater with zipper, drawstring, canvas reinforcement on the elbows and forearms, double pockets on the right side and with a hanger for lift-pass. Dronning Maud is a comfortable mix of 58% cotton and 29% Polyamid, and 13% Polyurethane which is combined with water resistance that is highly breathable. An expedition to the South Pole and the Queen Mauds Land is what inspired Dale to making such an action prone sweater, ice and snow being the base in the design. Since no two snowflakes are identical, there are two different versions. The Pole point is symbolized with a circle with a cross, whereas the lines above the main pattern represent the snow. The skis symbolize the expedition on their way to the Pole point, and you can see the ice-taps of the shoulders and sleeve. The Dale Sport collection are not only for active sports but leisure wear as well. With the unisex designs, distinct colors, striking patterns and functional detailing, anyone can benefit from it.

Wash/Care Instructions for Dale of Norway Sweaters
Hand wash (30°C/86°F) or machine wash (30°C/86°F) at wool cycle. Turn inside out. Use a mild washing detergent. Squeeze gently, do not wring. Rinse well. Dry on a flat surface, pull gently into shape if necessary. Do not dry in sunshine or in a tumble dryer. Can be pressed, using wool setting. This garment can be dry cleaned, but dry cleaning may change the brightness of the colors and the softness of the wool. Store knitted garments folded, not hanging.
All Dale of Norway products have washing labels inside the garments. Some products are machine wash and some are handwash. Here are some general instructions on how to wash and care for your Dale product:
- Hand wash at 30°C/86°F using a detergent with a neutral pH -or- Machine wash at 30°C/86°F using a wool cycle and a detergent with a neutral pH
- Do not bleach or wash with chlorine based products
- Iron at low heat settings and, if necessary, turn inside out
- May be dry cleaned, but this may change the brightness of the colors and softness of the wool
- Do not tumble dry
- Dry flat, and never in direct sunlight
- WATER REPELLENT garments should be ironed after washing. Do not use softener when washing

This model features Teflon® fabric protector from DuPont, which makes the sweater water, snow, and stain repellent—water rolls off, soils and stains just wipe away. Teflon® provides maximum water and stain repellency without affecting breathability of the fabric. It is durable to washing and dry-cleaning and warm ironing or tumble drying will optimize the performance of Teflon®. The material is CFC free and dermatologically tested.
All sweaters with Teflon® are also lined with Dale Polarwind®. The combination of these two technologies makes the sweater perfect for skiing and outdoor activities.
