Momentum harness is a universal mid-weight climbing harness that will perform well in a number of conditions, from casual climb at your local gym to the multi-pitch attack. The harness is build the traditional way, webbing creates the harness skeleton and padding is added for comfort and protection during your climb. Black Diamond's Momentum AL harness features adjustable leg loops, feature that is useful if you tend to climb in various climates with different amount of clothing, or without clothes at all. Four pressure-molded gear loops provide enough room to carry all your protection and gear such as quickdraws or carabiners and to keep it organized. If you are looking for a universal harness that will allow you to attack almost any problem and don't need specialty super-light or super padded harness, Momentum AL will be a great choice that will not break the bank.

Great overall harness
Great harness for the money. At about $50 this harness delivers enough support, padding and adjustability for my weekly gym climbing and weekend spent at the crag. Oversized double buckle feels very secure and the excess webbing can be nicely tucked into the little loops. Adjustable legs are a plus for when I'm wearing heavier pants or when loaning the harness to someone else. I don't usually carry too much gear with me as I'm almost exclusively do only sports climbing and so the loops on the harness provide plenty of room to carry all my gear. This is not the lightest harness for sure, but it provides all I need and it feels safe for under $50.
Universal harness
I have been climbing in this harness for three years now, anywhere from gym, to local crag to Yosemite and it always kept me comfortable and feeling secure. This is not the lightest harness out there, nor is super padded for big wall. It has just the right amount of support and padding though to keep you climbing through most situations. Large traditional buckles seem super secure (I like to double buckle instead of the speed buckles out there.) There is enough padding there to keep me comfortable during long belays. Adjustable legs are a nice feature, even though I don't find myself using it too much, but the amount of extra weight is so small that it's not a bad thing to have. It actually became handy when other climbers were borrowing the harness from me. At this price, Momentum harness is a great deal I think.
