Great semi-technical climbing shoe
I am on my second pair of these Scarpas now. I was originally attracted to the velcro enclosure as I was looking for something easy to get in and out but this shoe keeps delivering. It is definitely a technical shoe, slightly downturned with good pointy front that allows me to go through event the smallest holds (used primarily in the gym.) I was not able to keep them on all day when climbing outside on a multi-pich route, but that's not what they are intended for. The shoes delivered solid performance when bouldering, though little bit more sensitivity would help. Break-in time was about 2-3 weeks of 4 times a week of climbing, after that my Scarpa Veloces are one of my favorite rock climbing shoes.
